'For Monitoring and Analytics, the upgrade path will begin with CTP3, not CTP2. (This differs from Planning.) Thus, users will be able to upgrade CTP3 to future releases. Users working with PPS Monitoring and Analytics CTP2
will be encouraged to reinstall for CTP3.'
So in summary it appears to be like this:
Planning CTP1 to CTP2 - Reinstall and metadata changes to try and migrate your existing databases.
Planning CTP2 to CTP3 and beyond - A migration path is promised.
Monitoring and Analytics CTP1 to CTP2 - Reinstall.
Monitoring and Analytics CTP2 to CTP3 - Reinstall.
