I have always been very proud of my certifications and when microsoft started releasing the latest upgrade exams for my mcse and mcsa certifications to windows 2008 the exam demon inside of me awoke after a number of months in the dark and has been pestering my mind the past few weeks about when i should do these new exams.
From microsofts new certification layout the mcse and mcsa exams are no more and are now merged between the Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) and the new Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) credentials. After much researching and talking to fellow mcse cert holders i finally worked out the array of exams i am going to need to do to try get these shiny new certifications. The whole new layout of it all has now obviously been aimed at specialisation and the proving of peoples knowledge in specific technologies and fields and this in itself can only be a good thing for anyone who shares these certifications with me as this will hopefully bring back the value of all microsoft exams.
With the recent nice deal for 40% off my upgrade exams to 2008 and the second shot promotion being extended to june(for those of us that think we'll breeze it then fail it horribly) microsoft are certainly trying to keep the credentials growing and staying strong.
Now the fun of getting back into study mode is the last hurdle i need to make to get the ball rolling.
