I write this blog post with the biggest smirk on my face. One of the directors of Conchangos' PA's called me up this morning and asked me to come fix the directors msn messenger as he was getting an error. I arrived at his desk and when trying to log into his msn messenger he kept receiving the error:

I scoured the web looking for the answer and no one could tell me how to fix it, they offered putting entries into the hosts file to disabling certificate checking to plainly disabling any secuirty via IE but none of them worked. One of these posts did bring me the idea which in turn fixed the problem. He asked me to register certain dll's and all but one of these registered. The one that didnt register was the file initpki.dll, this gave me a brain wave and so i scoured the web and found a site that allowed me to download this dll file , so i downloaded it and pasted it into the system32 folder of the laptop and restarted msn and the problem was fixed

I have a very good feeling this will help a heck of a lot of people as there were posts upon posts about this problem but no fixes anywhere one the web(trust me i searched for over an hour)

Gregg,

Hi, the specific solution is not working on my computer. Could this just a problem of the microsoft directory services?
