Jamie Thomson the top blogger of Conchango(based on blog posting numbers) contacted me last week asking if there was something wrong with our blogging site as he was receiving the below error when trying to post a blog via windows live writer. I posted a test blog myself and all seemed well but when Jamie sent me a draft of his blog I too received the error below  "The following images cannot be published because the weblog does not support image publishing" .Jamies Blog posting was very large due to the large amount of high quality pictures in it.

I am the first to admit that I'm not the most knowledgeable when it comes to community servers etc so I scoured the web trying to work out size definitions for community server and came across two posts from the same gentleman Josh Heyse which both helped me solve our problem with our community server. My first idea was to try use fiddler to trace the problems which he detailed the process  and the exact same problems i was having perfectly for me which helped a whole bunch, but it was missing the exact configuration settings I needed to add to the appsettings section to allow larger postings to the community server. So I did another search for "metablog.ashx appSettings” and it turned up another of his posts this one to the community server forum http://dev.communityserver.com/forums/t/498538.aspx which detailed the two steps he mentioned he added in his last post which is what I needed to fix the problem. I added the two settings, tested it with a large posting and its now accepting larger postings on my community server.

A massive thank you to Stuart Preston for helping me with all the questions i had about this stuff!!!
