Today marks the end of Sprint 6 of development for "Scrum for Team System". This release is targeted against Team Foundation Server Release Candidate - it will not work on any previous version of Team Foundation Server. We've spent a lot of time improving the product thanks to some great feedback from our Beta Testers and internal teams who have been dog fooding the product. Reporting has received a major overhaul; multiple Scrum Team support has been added, look and feel has been updated and we have added 8 new reports:
- Bug Count
- Bug History Chart
- Bug Priority Chart
- Current Sprint Status
- Impediments Report
- Product Backlog Composition
- Retrospective Report
- Sprint Overview Chart
We have added a new Work Item Type called "Sprint Retrospective Item" which allows teams to capture the output from Sprint Retrospective meetings. We have added an "Area Path" field (after much user feedback) to Product and Sprint Backlog Items which allows easier grouping of backlog items to functional areas, we've also added a "deleted" state so you can remove backlog items from queries and reports and added a "Recycle Bin" Work Item Query which shows all items marked as deleted - you can "restore" accidentally deleted items from here.
We've improved the installer, making it much more robust, we've also refactored the Scrum.Eventing.Service making it more reliable and have added tracing so you can more easily track down any configuration problems. We've also put significant effort into redesigning the Sharepoint templates for the Project Portal, so you have a much more usable dashboard.
If you would like to join our Beta Program please send an email to scrumforteamsystem@conchango.com and tell us a little bit about yourself and the environment you'd use it in. You will then be sent account details that enable you to access our support forum. After you have logged in, the download is available from the Announcements page. If you have already contacted us, then you don't need to do this again as we have your details and will be contacting you shortly.
