SQL Server 2005 is coming around soon and with the CLR integration bound up tight in it SQL Server developers out there are going to have to start getting their heads around .Net sooner rather than later.
Speaking as a .Net novice I can highly recommend Joe Hummel's series of webcasts called Modern Software Development. It takes a while to get through (I haven't finished it yet)...but its well worth it.
