I’ve now had my Motorola Q for a week or so and I’ve decided to keep it and sell the Treo 700w. I’ve also found that carrying a Motorola Q on the New York PATH or Ferry seems to be a good way to meet new people who say “Hey, is that a Q?” No one ever asked me if that was a Treo so I think the coolness factor has to at little a small consideration in the decision ;) Of course, it may have something to do with the giant Motorola Q billboards near Times Square too!
So far I’ve learned :
-
By using the extended battery I don’t have to worry about battery life – it can run for days
-
My 2GB mini-SD card is capable of storing an incredible amount of music
-
The keyboard “lag” is still annoying when trying to type quickly
-
Learning to customize the home screen XML has changed (for the better) my opinion of the phone
-
I can live with polling for email most of the time although direct push mail would be nice to have
-
We need more applications that work properly in the wide screen display
-
Bluetooth headphones sound worse than I can tolerate. I normally use
Shure E3C’s but I knew that Bluetooth has a bandwidth limitation and it definitely shows. I decided to go back to using them instead.
-
OneNote 2007 Mobile is simply a great idea, click the link for yourself for Chris Pratley’s blog on it
