A group of colleagues from EMC Consulting/EMC Conchango are participating in this years Barmy to Barcelona 2009 organised by Wacky Rally over the first weekend of July.
The premise is that we enter a vehicle worth under £250 into the rally and travel around 1,400 miles through four countries in four days, hopefully ending up in Barcelona without breaking down!
At the end of the rally we plan to either sell or scrap the car in Barcelona.
The rally doesn't start until the morning of the 3rd July however we will be travelling on the 2nd July aiming to get to Lille between 6pm and 11pm for registration.
We are doing the event in the hope that we raise some money for our chosen charity Hope & Play (http://www.hopeandplay.org). The charity covers its own admin costs, so you can be assured that 100% of your donation goes to those who need it most. Fuel, food, toll charges, accommodation etc will all be at our own expense.
