"What will happen in my induction?" A question I am asked by all new starters as they are getting ready for their first day with us. So I thought I would tell you a bit about it.
New starters arrive at 9:30am on their first day to our London Bridge office for a day of meeting people and information gathering. It is to make sure you have everything you need to get your career off to a flying start, as well as to make sure we have all the important info to make sure you get paid and that your introduction to the team goes smoothly. Leanne Taylor will faciliate the induction so will look after you throughout the day.
The day includes:
- Induction overview by HR
- A company introduction run by one of the management team
- A chat with David from our IS team where you will be given your new laptop / phone
- An Employee Handbook overview run by HR as well as health and safety, business cards, expenses etc
- A chat with your Resource Manager
- An overview by one of the Learning & Development team
- Most importantly you will be taken out for a nice lunch by a member of our team at one of our favourite locals as a chance to get to know a few more people and find our more about our Communities and your technical / business groups so you will already have a network of people, working in similar roles to you, where you can go if you have any questions.
As well as getting lots of information we also find that it is a good chance to meet more of the back office team who provide so much support to our Consultants, then if you need some behind the scenes help you know who to call.
