THE EVENT

Gojko Adzic is the author of more than 200 articles about programming, operating systems, Internet and new technologies published in various online and print magazines, and has recently published his first book Test Driven .NET Development with Fitnesse.

In this session, Gojko and other well-known members of the ALT.NET community will present some great alternative .NET development tools and libraries. Ranging from open-source to tools produced and supported by Microsoft, all these tools are free and allow us to harness recent innovations, apply modern programming practises and increase prgrammer productivity, but you would not find them in a typical .NET development shop.

This session will be presented by:

Subversion - Gojko Adzic

NHibernate - Ian Cooper

PowerShell - Zi Makki

OpenRasta - Sebastian Lambla

Castle Windsor - Mike Hadlow

Rhino Mocks - Chris Roff

NServiceBus - David De Florinier

This is a session for .NET developers of all levels.

Hi guys I wish I could attend but I'm kind of in the other side of world as of right now :-) just wanted to take the opportunity that the subject will be around alternative tools to let you know about Aggiorno.

In this first incarnation, Aggiorno lives as a Visual Studio 2005/2008 add-in, assisting Web developers in accomplishing complex tasks in a fraction of the time it would otherwise take. Let's call it Refactoring for ASP.NET and HXTML.

The vision behind this tool is to provide knowledge capsules to developers in ways of automated execution.

I wrote a little review on my blog  [http://bits.samiq.net/2008/07/aggiorno-improving-web-for-you.html] and would love for you guys to check it out and provide us with feedback.

We just hit RC0 last week and would love to hear what u think of it and helps us spread the word.

You can dowload the latest build from the web site http://www.aggiorno.com

Cheers,

- Samiq.
