Towards the end of last year I honoured to be asked to be part of a Recruiting eBook that EMC were putting together. Ten top recruiters were asked a number of questions with the aim that the answers would give job seekers an inside view of what recruiters really do (and don’t) want as well as how to find that all important next career move.
I was asked a number of questions:
1. My top 10 job search strategies
2. Top 3 mistakes that job seekers make
3. My top recruiting sources
4. Favourite recruiting story (it is a good one!)
5. Some final words
What better timing than the start of 2010 to find out the answers to these questions, as we know looking for a new job is a regular in the New Year resolutions list.
If you would like to hear my answers (page 14) and lots more top tips then please check out the Recruiting eBook.
If you are thinking it is your first day back after the break (Merry Christmas and Happy New Year) and you are not sure why you should bother clicking on the link, here are some reasons....
“Wouldn’t it be great if you could sit down with a bunch of Fortune 500 recruiters and find out what the hell they’re looking for from job candidates? Well, read this book.”
“Most job seekers have no idea what recruiters are actually looking for, which is why the advice in this book is so important!”
“This collection of stories and advice is absolutely brilliant. It should be printed out and read, multiple times, with a highlighter!”
“This book is an invaluable resource for job hunters. What could be better than hearing directly from recruiters about what they want (and what they definitely DON’T want) from candidates? Reading this book will give you a major advantage in the job market.”
