Thank you to everyone who came along last night to see out 2010 TFT style, that is right banter and beer.
We hosted our last Fantastic Tavern of the year in the Old Explorer behind Oxford Street and 80 taverners came out to play.
We took the opportunity at the start of the night to get people's feedback on TFT so we can see what we should be doing lots more of next year, as well what we should be doing much less of. This is vital to us continuing to make a stronger community that people want to be part of so thank you for that (I know the bribery of beer vouchers helped).
Everyone was also given a Dear Santa letter to write their wish for 2011, ideally we wanted digital wishes but to be honest there are no rules at TFT.
Unfortunately our usual host for the evening Matt Bagwell was delayed in America so I was left in charge, scary thought.
I started the night by taking the stage to warm up the audience, not literally, with a few funny photos thanks to the help of photoshop, a video link suitable of an Oscar by Matt Bagwell and a summary of the TFT in 2010.
I then passed over the mic to the capable hands of Paul Dawson who did the review of 2010. A massive thanks to Paul for standing in at short notice, especially since he had to get out of his sick bed to do it.
Here is the PPT for the night, it may not make much sense to those who did not come but it gives you an idea….It includes iPads, iPhones, Foursquare, SCVNGR, Angry Birds, the Election, Mad Men and much more so have a look.
Once Paul was done he then read through some of the wishes for 2011, these will also all be available shortly for you to look at but to get you started my favourite letter was:

Please bring us the unexpected, the obscure and the new. The brilliant "I will I had done that" ideas on a daily basis. We don't need more facebook apps. Please take them with you back to Lapland and deliver us new elfin inspired digital experiences. We have lots of Elfins at Ravensbourne. They can help you.

We then put the microphone away and continued networking and enjoying the free drinks provided by EMC Consulting.....
